01How many connection requests can you send on LinkedIn per week?

LinkedIn doesn’t publish a weekly number. Its Help page on invitation restrictions names three reasons it limits invitations: too many sent in a short time, too many left ignored or marked as spam, and a suspected automation tool. It gives no figure for any of these, so a guide that states 100 or 200 a week is offering its own estimate, not a LinkedIn rule.

This matters for more than curiosity. Send at the wrong pace and the cost isn’t a lower number next week, it’s a paused account.

02How many LinkedIn connection requests can you send per day?

LinkedIn doesn’t publish a daily limit either. Spread across a working week, a cap of 100 a week works out to about 20 a day, which is the pace we use. LinkedIn’s own page warns about invitations sent “within a short amount of time”, so a burst in one sitting is riskier than a steady pace across the week.

03How many LinkedIn messages can you send per day?

LinkedIn says it limits “how many messages a member can send in a certain time period” but gives no number. Messages to your own connections are free. Reaching anyone else takes an InMail credit, a paid message to someone you’re not connected to, or a message request, which some people never check.

Basic accounts “can only directly message LinkedIn members that you’re connected to”. A message request can also reach an Open Profile member (a Premium member who has switched their profile to accept messages from anyone) or someone in the same group, but they’re free to ignore it.

04Does LinkedIn Premium raise the connection request limit?

Premium changes how many notes you can personalize, not how many invitations LinkedIn lets you send. No Help page gives Premium a higher invitation number.

LinkedIn’s own pages don’t even agree on the free note count. One says 3 personalized notes a month, another says 5. Premium removes that monthly cap, at 200 characters on one page and 300 on another, both checked 29 September 2026.

05How many connection requests can you send with Sales Navigator?

LinkedIn doesn’t publish a separate invitation limit for Sales Navigator. Its own plans page lists search filters, saved searches and InMail credits, not a higher invitation number. Guides that say 150 or 200 a week with Sales Navigator don’t link to a LinkedIn source for it.

06Why does LinkedIn limit connection requests?

LinkedIn says its limits exist “to prevent misuse and promote thoughtful networking”. In plain terms, it wants invitations to go to people likely to accept them, not to as many strangers as an account can reach in a day.

That’s also the difference between a limit that feels unfair and one that doesn’t. An account inviting people with a real reason to connect rarely gets close to it.

07Did LinkedIn lower the connection request limit in 2026?

Nobody outside LinkedIn can confirm a change, because LinkedIn has never published the number in the first place. What it does say is that ignored and pending invitations can trigger a restriction a551012, so a falling acceptance rate tells you more than any figure posted online.

Some founders report tighter limits this year on forums and in comment sections. Without a published baseline from LinkedIn, there’s no confirmed number to compare it against.

08When does the LinkedIn weekly invitation limit reset?

There’s no reset day to wait for, because LinkedIn doesn’t run a published weekly limit on a clock. Instead, it gives waits tied to the restriction itself.

09How can you check how many invitations you have left?

LinkedIn doesn’t show a counter for invitations left. The only reliable count is your own.

1. Set your own weekly cap before you start sending.

2. Write down every invitation you send, with the date.

3. Check the running total against your cap at the end of each week.

10What happens when you hit the LinkedIn invitation limit?

LinkedIn pauses your invitations, and the restriction “typically lasts one week”. Withdrawing pending invitations won’t remove it, and LinkedIn says it can’t shorten the wait.

LinkedIn asks for an email address when the recipient only accepts invitations from people who already know it, or when several recipients have clicked “I don’t know [name]” on your invitations. It also asks when you’ve already sent that person an invitation a539881.

The page doesn’t say this becomes permanent, so don’t assume it is.

13How do you increase your LinkedIn connection request limit?

No plan or setting raises it. What LinkedIn points to instead is fewer ignored invitations and fewer spam reports a551012.

In practice, that means picking people with a real reason to say yes, not sending invitations to more of them.

14Can you get around the LinkedIn weekly invitation limit?
