LinkedIn replies going cold? A person should answer every one.

On every plan, your operator reads your replies, answers from your profile and books the meeting.

LinkedIn replies go cold because nobody owns them. In the most common campaign shape, half of all replies come after a follow-up rather than the first message, often when the sender has stopped watching. A person has to read every reply and answer it, and on every plan, that person is your operator.

SampleSay a CTO replies on Thursday at 16:20: “Is that what you do?” You’re on calls until 19:00, and it slips. By Monday, the moment has gone.

In their words

On both sides of the inbox, the same thing happens:

After I liked one of his posts, I received an automatic message asking how I was doing. I recognized that the message didn’t match a personal tone, but I replied anyway to catch up. He never responded

Hacker News comment, June 2025

They did not forward emails sent to aliases, so when a lead asked to reschedule, I had no clue, and then we lost the lead.

Trustpilot review of a LinkedIn outreach agency, May 2023

There are notifications, but you don’t get one if some replies outside your campaign.

Trustpilot review of a LinkedIn automation tool, July 2025

Why replies go cold

Belkins studied 8.5 million contacts in the most common campaign: an invitation, then messages after it’s accepted. The 7.9% reply rate split evenly: 4.0% after the first message and 4.0% after follow-ups.

So half the replies come late in the sequence. Each one needs a person to answer it.

Tools make it worse when nobody watches. They can keep sending the next step to someone who already replied, which reads as proof nobody read the reply.

Time zones finish the job. A reply at 10:00 in New York, while you’re on calls, waits until you remember it.

Reply handling from $299 a month

In the agency prices we checked, a person answering replies usually started near $1,000 a month. Here it’s part of Starter.

    Reply handling on every plan

When this won’t fix it

  1. If every reply is a no, faster answers won’t help. The picks or the offer need fixing first.

  2. If your buyers expect an answer within minutes, tell us on the call. We’ll tell you honestly whether that fits how we work.

Common questions.

Is reply handling included on the cheapest plan?

Yes. Starter, at $299 a month, includes a person answering your replies and booking your meetings.

Do you answer the ‘not now’ and ‘no thanks’ replies too?

Yes. ‘Not now’ gets a polite answer. ‘No thanks’ gets a short thank-you and no more messages.

What if a prospect asks something only I can answer?

Your operator asks you before replying. We’d rather wait than guess about your product.

Who takes the meeting?

You do. Your operator books it on your calendar. Nobody pretends to be you on a call.
